Learnt
This is my first game development project, significantly aiding my understanding of the game production process in a short period, focusing on both teamwork and UI/UX design thinking.
Creating the game interface shares similarities with mobile/web interfaces, involving tasks like mapping out user flow. In games, it is crucial to ask, confirm, and communicate with teammates, especially programmers. For instance, a last-minute music tempo speed-up occurs simultaneously as players unlock the bedroom, completing the mission within a one-minute countdown, thereby creating tension for the game's finish phase. I modified sound effects to synchronize with the game's pacing, ensuring they align with the timing requirements. Simultaneously, I adjust the UI style and size to complement our chosen theme and accommodate the VR device. Testing and discussing with programmers about the necessary components clarify my mission and how to make changes as needed. A strong team thrives on continuous communication, enhancing overall effectiveness.
